Why We Publish Our Method
This page exists so that you, or anyone checking our work, can see exactly how each comparison on Gold Dipped Rose is made. It describes a research method. We do not run laboratory tests, we do not measure gold thickness and we have not yet handled the roses in person; where a conclusion would need that, we say so instead of guessing.
How We Choose and Obtain the Products
We cover the pieces that GoldRose publishes on its official store: the Signature collection (Majestic, Trinity and Grandiose) and the Imperial collection on crocodile leather. Products are not bought or received for testing. We receive no free samples from the brand, and nothing is sent to us in exchange for coverage.
Sources and Tools
- The seller’s product pages, warranty, shipping, exchange and refund policies.
- Official tax authority and legislation websites for VAT, sales tax, duty and consumer withdrawal rights.
- Official statistics offices for any local figure on a city page.
- A dated price log, so every price on the site shows when it was checked.
To keep comparisons fair, every piece is described with the same fields: number of roses, setting, size, price, warranty, delivery and return terms.
Our Research Process, Step by Step
1. Catalog capture
We list every piece the store publishes, with its collection, number of roses, setting and size. A piece is covered only if the store currently sells it.
2. Price check
We record the published USD price and the date. Prices are shown as the seller’s published price on that date, never as a quote, because the store converts currency at checkout.
3. Policy reading
We read the warranty, delivery, exchange and return pages in full and summarise the parts that change a buying decision, such as the 24-hour return request window and the exclusion of international orders.
4. Claim check
We separate what the brand claims (a natural rose, multi-layer 24K gold, handmade in Switzerland, a 26-day process) from what can be verified independently, and we label the claims as claims. Missing information, such as gold weight, is reported as missing.
5. Local rules
For each city we add the tax rate, customs situation and consumer withdrawal rules that apply to a delivery there, with the official source named next to each figure.
6. Comparison and recommendation
We compare pieces on value per rose, size, setting and the occasions they suit, and recommend the one that fits each situation best.
How We Reach a Recommendation
We do not give star ratings or numeric scores. A score would suggest a hands-on test we have not done. Instead, each recommendation is based on four criteria, in order of importance:
- Honesty of the description: is the material and construction clearly explained?
- Protection for the buyer: what the warranty, delivery and return terms actually cover.
- Value: price per rose and what the extra cost of a setting buys.
- Fit: how well the piece suits the occasion, the recipient and the space it will live in.
Our Commitment to Impartiality
- The brand never sees a page before it is published and cannot ask for changes, except to correct a proven factual error.
- We accept no payment for coverage and publish no sponsored articles.
- Affiliate commissions never change a comparison. If a cheaper piece fits better, we recommend the cheaper piece.
The full buying guide built with this method starts on the gold dipped rose page.
Reviews and Updates
Every page is reviewed at least every six months, and sooner whenever the store changes a price, a product or a policy. When something changes, we update the page and the date shown at the top. If a piece is discontinued, we say so on its page and point to the closest alternative.
